Fritz Winery is a family operation established in the bucolic Sonoma County by Arthur “Jay” Fritz. The Fritz family began farming grapes in the early 1970s in the tri valley region encompassing Dry Creek, Alexander and Russian River valleys. Primarily focused on and enamored in the Dry Creek Valley area, Jay decided to begin processing fruit at his namesake winery in 1979. He then proceeded to develop the eponymous brand for the next twenty years, increasing production to support a national brand well into the 1990s. As the millennium came to a close, his son Clay took over the winemaking direction and built out the reputation and reach of the wines and brand. Today Clay, along with his wife, Natalia the Fritz family continues to enthusiastically value the craft of fine winemaking by pursuing unique vineyard opportunities as well as artisan winemaking techniques to create and offer a wonderful array of critically acclaimed wines. From small intimate gatherings at their home, to entertaining during the holidays and celebrating special milestones, together, Clayton and Natalia love the epicurean lifestyle and they take great pride in sharing their wines with friends and family!
Cheers,
