The January 28th Fritz Wine Dinner at Matherne's in Baton Rouge, LA was a great success with 50 enthusiastic guests enjoying Fritz wines. I want to thank Bill Hounshell of Matherne's for giving me the opportunity to pour Fritz wines at his wine dinner and thank all that attended - I had a great time meeting all of you and sharing our wines.
A few of the memorable pairings from the dinner were:
Fritz RRV Chardonnay with a Moroccan-Style Chicken Pot Pie - Everyone loved it !
Then Bill decided to pair three wines with one dish so everyone could see how one can pair completely different wines with the same dish - Fritz Estate Dry creek Zinfandel, Fritz Estate Malbec and Fritz Dry Creek Cabernet with the most delicious piece of Prime Rib. - It was a huge hit!
For desert Fritz Late Harvest Zinfandel with a Cocoa Dusted Homemade Brownie - Yummy!
